Wanita M. (Pelletier) Paradis Obituary

Sherman, Maine - Wanita M. (Pelletier) Paradis, 91, wife of the late Reginald Paradis, died February 3, 2026. She was born in Perham on September 20, 1934, the daughter of James F. Pelletier and Cecile G. Pelletier.

Wanita was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann in Eagle Lake. She was a hard worker - from picking potatoes, working at Mountain Heights Nursing Home in Patten, Huber Mill in Patten, custodian at Katahdin High School, to her final job at Mercy Home in Eagle Lake. She was a talented seamstress, quilter, crocheter, and knitter.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Paradis; a son, Reginald Paradis Jr.; and her parents. She was also predeceased by five sisters, Gladys Vaillancourt, Nina Thyng, Rita Pelletier, Katherine Smith, and Ann Neaher; and son-in-law, Jerome Furrow. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Craig and Guy Cote of Patten, Stella Lane (Ralph) of Sherman, Marie Furrow of Upper Woodstock, NB, Canada, and Rose Gantnier of Mount Chase; one son, Kenneth (Sheila) Paradis of Crystal; two sisters, Judy (Mike) Seamen of Litchfield and Denise (Theresa) Lane of Sherman; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Louis (Barbara) Pelletier of Island Falls, Stanley (Carol) Pelletier of Windsor, and Damase Pelletier of Crystal; and a close friend, Galen Long of Sherman.

Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Benedicta. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. with Father Justin Sefembiy officiating. To share condolences and memories, please visit bowersfuneral.com.
