Tigard, OR, Oregon - Virginia Mary Civiello, lovingly known as Ginny, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on December 22, 2025, in Tigard, Oregon. Born April 14, 1941, in Millinocket, Maine, Ginny was raised in the close-knit Little Italy neighborhood by her parents, Constance and Frank Brunette.

She graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School in 1961, beginning a lifelong career devoted to caring for others. In July 1962, she married her beloved husband, Ken Civiello, and together they built a life in California, raising their family and eventually settling in Napa. During the late '70s and early '80s, Ginny served as a school nurse at Christian Brothers boarding school for boys at Mont La Salle.

Throughout the years, Ginny was courageous and resilient ... facing four battles with cancer and other health challenges with remarkable strength and grace.

Creative and compassionate, Ginny enjoyed cooking, painting, playing guitar, crocheting, and knitting. It was a trip to the casino and gathering with her family, which brought her the most joy! Her legacy of love and heartfelt traditions will continue on throughout the generations.

Ginny is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ken; daughters, Marni (Jean), Kelli (Craig), and Denni (Dyron); six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Dorothea (Dick) Michaels, Elaine Myatt, and Andy (Sue) Brunette. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Brunette.

A private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
