Levant, Maine - Velma L. Hubble, 94, the wife of William O. Hubble, died May 27, 2019, at a Bangor Nursing home after a long illness. She was born Aug. 19, 1924 in Garland, the daughter of Maurice and Vera (Knight) Day. She had worked as a secretary in sales for Waters Manufacturing for 25 years and had attended Harvest Chapel in Levant for many years. Velma enjoyed many hobbies and reading.

She is survived by a step-daughter-in-law, Elaine Hubble of E. Sabago; two grandchildren, Robert of Augusta and Susan of Falmouth; several great-great and great-great-great grandchildren; one sister Marion McLeod of Bangor and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Day and grandsons, William and Kenneth.

Graveside services will be held 1 PM Saturday at the Evergreen Cemetery, Garland. Arrangements are in care of the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
