Trudy Lynn Pickard Obituary
Eastbrook, Maine - Trudy Lynn Pickard, 54, of Eastbrook, passed away peacefully surrounded by close family and friends on Nov. 18, 2017, from a tragic and unexpected vehicle accident.
Trudy was born on Dec. 31, 1962, in Bar Harbor in the middle of a blizzard, and those who knew Trudy well know how fitting her entrance into this world was, born to Raymond Foss of Franklin and Cynthia Tassinari of Winter Haven, FL.
Trudy graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1981.
Trudy "girlfriend," "Mom," "mother of many," "Girt," "Toot"... the names continue forever. She was our rock, our confidant, our best friend. She always had so much love for all friends and unknown alike. Her smile brightened the darkest of rooms. She knew no stranger, and anybody who had not had the pleasure to have her in their life truly missed out. She was an inspiration to everybody around her, in one aspect or another.
She valued her family and friends to the utmost. Trudy had her own flaws as everybody does, but the positive aspects overshadowed the negatives by far. Somehow she possessed the ability to make everything seem okay, even in the darkest of times. She was a selfless person in every aspect. A devoted wife, mom, daughter... even in the most trying times, without a second thought. Every time!!
Her grandchildren were her world, her face would light up with so much joy at the thought of them and that was nothing compared to when she would hold, hug, or kiss their little cheeks. Even though they may have been trying to squirm away.
She truly loved this life she had, and the people in it. And we all without a doubt believe she has no regrets in life. She had accomplished and had everything in life she ever wanted.
She cared so much for people that she absolutely insisted on giving life to others through the form of organ donation... friend, foe, and stranger alike. And she will rest in peace knowing that in some way, even how tragic the circumstances are, that she improved someone's quality of life so they may enjoy it as she did.
She will always be an inspiration to all who knew her! She will be missed and most importantly never forgotten.
May God bless your soul and please look after us from above, with those beautiful eyes.
We all love you more than we ever showed and more than you will ever know.
She will be lovingly missed by her husband, Scott; sons, Ryan (wife Alisha), and Justin; her mother, Cindy, and father, Ray; her sister Norma and Buster Stowe of Portsmouth, VA; her beloved grandchildren, Mason, Emmett, and Kylie, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eastbrook Community Center, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would like all contributions in memory of Trudy to go to the Shriners Children's Hospital/Fact and Figures Unit, 1525 Waltham Rd., Ellsworth, ME 04605.
