Bucksport - Timothy J. Wardwell passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Wednesday March 13, 2019 in Bucksport. He was born May 8, 1954, the son of William and Ruth (Colby) Wardwell. Timothy had a great love for his family and enjoyed visiting family and friends. His great sense of humor was often mischievous but always coupled with a smile and a glint in his eyes. Timothy loved spending time on his land whether cutting wood or caring for his blueberry fields. In the summer, he loved swimming and sitting outside in the sun. Timothy is survived by his mother Ruth Wardwell, his loving wife Patti Rump, his daughters, Kelsey Wardwell and partner Gerry Worster, and Keegan Wardwell and husband Aaron Burgus, sister Ellen McElvain and brothers, Dana Wardwell and wife Paulette, and Frank Wardwell and partner Elaine White, brother-in-law Jerome Andrews, brother-in-law Ben Rump and wife Karen and sister-in-law Jacque Rump, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father William Wardwell, sister Joyce Andrews, brother James Wardwell, and brother-in-law William McElvain. A celebration of life will be held later in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services Bucksport. (mitchelltweedie-young.com)

Tim was a a member of the Bucksport High School Class of 1972. He was a member of the 1971 State Championship football team. He was a good team mate and a good friend. Timmy helped my mother open camp every summer at Craig Pond. Timmy was always fun to talk to and had a great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family at this time.

Tim was a classmate of 1972. We started our first year of school in 1959, attending the afternoon class of sub-primary. We rode the same school bus that year with about 12 other kids. RIP Tim.

I remember meeting Tim when I was with his younger brother Frank. Tim teased me unmercifully! That was certainly his forte. I recall Frank and I babysitting the girls..they were just little atthe time- one in diapers and I don't know what they fed her before they went out but it was the most memorable and remarkable diaper I had ever changed in my life at that time It wouldn't surprise me if michievios Tim had something to do with this...Right up until the last time I saw him he teased me with a grin. I am so sorry for his family at the loss of Timothy. He took a slice of light with him. I pray you take some solace in memories you've made and shared with him. God be with your family.
