Lincoln, Maine - Thurston "Peter" H. Carver, 79, of Hersey went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 10, 2025. He passed peacefully at his home in Lincoln comforted by his family. He was born on July 11, 1945.
Peter's schooling included attending the one - room schoolhouse in Mount Chase and graduating from Patten Academy and the University of Maine. He also attended Zion Bible Institute and Faith School of Theology. Peter felt blessed to be able to own and operate Carvers Contractors with his brother, Donnie, and work with his son, Andrew, and his nephews, Kevin and Craig. His handyman skills were a blessing to many over the years and his beautifully hand-crafted gifts are treasured. Peter was known for his servant's heart and his gentle and humble spirit. He shared perfectly timed words of wisdom that will not be forgotten. His greatest joys were living for the Lord and loving his family well.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Ronda Carver; his son, Andrew (Ruthie) Carver; daughter, Andrea Carver; his stepdaughters, Kelly (Shaun) McAvoy, Laurie (Alan) Soltys, and Stacy McCarthy; his brother, Donis (Jan) Carver; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family is especially grateful for their dear neighbors, Larry, Debbie, Ashley and Riley. He was predeceased by his parents, Boyd and Bertha Carver; his wife, Cynthia Pelkey Carver; and his sister, Beatrice.
A celebration of Peter's life will be held at Patten Pentecostal Church on Sunday, March 16, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patten Pentecostal Church building fund.
