Pittsfield, Maine - Thomas E. Quint, 69, died peacefully on October 18, 2024, surrounded by his family in Pittsfield. He was born on May 11, 1955, the son of the late Martelle and Mary (Dysart) Quint.

He graduated from Maine Central Institute with the class of 1973, and had owned and operated Mid State Gas, a company which was started by his father. The business became the "family hub" for his kids and there are many fond memories of working and spending time there together.

Tom had a great sense of humor and was always up for fun. He loved sporting events, Red Sox games, Maine hockey, and attending concerts. The Rolling Stones was his favorite and he had recently taken his granddaughter to one of their concert in Foxborough, MA. Every year he attended the Frozen Four with his family, a tradition that will continue on. He absolutely loved children and was called the baby whisperer in his family. He was a proud member of the Sebasticook Valley Elks and was working part time as a real estate agent for Allied Realty.

He is survived by three children, Arlo Quint (Christa) of NY, Amber Quint of Pittsfield, and Tyson Quint (Megan) of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Emil, Nico, and Mabel; mother of his children and dear friend, Janet Quint; six siblings, Steve Quint (Val), Susan Quint, Nancy Quint (Kelly), Dave Quint (Pat), Janet Quint, and Doug Quint (Dave); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Village Cemetery, Peltoma Avenue, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 3, at the Elks Lodge, Middle Street, Pittsfield.
