Thea married her husband, Emery, while he was serving in the Air Force in Germany in 1956. They and their daughter, Annie, crossed the Atlantic Ocean to live and raise their family in Sandy Point. She and Emery, along with their children Annie and Emery Jr., operated a dairy farm. Thea later went to work as a chef at the Yankee Clipper Restaurant in Belfast and then worked until retirement at Waldo County Hospital. While working at the hospital, she met Dr. James Delehanty who has been her doctor during her lifetime.
Thea was predeceased by her husband, the love of her love life life, Emery Shute Sr.
Thea is survived by a daughter, Annie and her husband, Bill Pickford, of Goosepecker Ridge in Freedom; a son, Emery Jr. and his wife, Darolyn, of Sandy Point. "Grams" had four very special grandchildren; Cale Pickford and his wife, Marisa; Jeremy Pickford and his wife, Larrriean; Nicole Shute Ceballos and her husband, Manuel; and Ryan Shute and his wife, Allie. "GG" had five great grandchildren whom she cherished. Thomas and Isabel Pickford; Alexander Pickford; Zarren Ceballos and Holden Shute. Two sisters, Annelis Thaler and Ingrid Perkins and Rick; sisters-in-law, Isabel Milewski, Tina DiTaranto, Teddy Wilcox and Barbara Jackson and her husband, Lee; and lots of wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carl Clegg and Marilyn Hussey were special friends and Thea enjoyed their time and visits.
What Thea enjoyed the most was being with family, working in her beautiful gardens and enjoying her life in Sandy Point, Maine. Arrangements by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bucksport
