Newport News, VA, Virginia - Sydney Randall Johnson, 53, lost her courageous battle against Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA.
Sydney was predeceased by her mother, Joy Jewett Johnson. She is survived by her son, Warren Mrowiec; her partner, Kevin Anderson; her sister, Ashley Techet; brother-in-law, Andrew Techet; nephews, Holden, Owen, and Soren Techet; niece, Scout Techet; her father, Gregory Johnson; her stepmother, Carol Hancock; her grandmother, Carolyn Johnson; and her former husband and Warren's father, Dave Mrowiec.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 45 Main St., Newport News, VA followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. A private family graveside service will be held at Cranberry Horn Cemetery in Harpswell, ME, later in the summer. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
