I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful soul. She has left such a legacy of love and the collective sadness of this island community at her passing shows the impact that she has had on so many people. I have always been inspired by her positivity, enthusiasm and love for teaching and will be forever grateful that my son got to have her as his 4th grade teacher. Such a special woman in every way.
My deepest condolences,
Renee

I was a classmate of Susan's from kindergarten thru high school, and classmate of Bruce in high school.
Susan was always a kind and gentle person that carried on thru her teaching career. It makes me so sad that Bruce and Susan had such a short time to enjoy there retirement years. My heart goes out to Bruce there two girls and grand children, I know how terribly missed she will be.

Bruce, Jennica, and Melanie: How she will be missed! Every time we ran into Bruce and Sue shopping at Hannaford on Sundays, we had a great chat and left feeling warmed and cheered. The last time we saw her, she told me not to work any longer than I had to, because retirement was so great. Teaching was important, she said, but time with family was the most valuable part of life. She loved you all so well--what a woman of love and light she was. We feel fortunate to have known her.

Susan - also known as Mrs. Tripp, was like a ray of sunshine throughout MDES. She went out of her way to make sure everyone around the school was cared for, regardless of whether or not they were her students. Mrs. Tripp impacted so many lives with her kindness, and she will not be forgotten.
