Hancock, Maine - Stetson Henry Everett, 83, died unexpectedly on August 28, 2025. He was born in Boston, MA, on August 23, 1942, the son of Story B and Janet R. (Hersey) Everett.

Stetson graduated from Gardiner High School, class of 1960. He married Marjorie Jean Abbott and recently celebrated 65 years of marriage in August. Stetson and Marjorie moved to Hancock in 1972 and owned Eastern Seaworm Company for 50 years.

Stet enjoyed many years of traveling with friends and playing golf around the world. He was a long-time member of Bar Harbor Golf Course and Kebo Valley Golf Club.

Stetson is survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie (Abbott); his daughter, Maureen Tolley and husband, David, of Kingsport, TN; son, Stetson Everett II and wife, Pam, of Green Bay, WI; son, Gregory Everett and wife, Michelle, of Alexandria, VA; and daughter, Shelly Jacoby and husband, Blake, of Merrimack, NH; and sister, Crystal Jones of Wiscasset, ME. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richard Everett, Nicole Giordano, Bradlee Rollins, Kayla Poulin, Erika Everett, Gregory Everett II, Story Everett II, Jolie Jacoby, and Jordan Jacoby, six great-grandchildren; and beloved dog, Blue. Stetson was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Everett; granddaughter, Rachel Rollins; and sister Mavis Everett.
