Bangor, Maine - The Brewer community has lost a well-known and beloved character. Stephenie Amber Snowman (Ruhlin), 58, passed away on Oct. 18, 2025, at Northern Light Hospital in Bangor. Born on May 17, 1967, to her late parents, Stephen Snowman Sr. and Shelley Snowman.

She leaves behind her two brothers, Stephen Jr. and Brigham Snowman.

Stephenie couldn't go anywhere in Brewer without running into at least three people she knew, a testament to a life lived with an open heart. Many came to know and love Steph during her more than 20 years as a bartender and server at Brewster's Fine Food and Drink. There, she became family, not just through her work, but through her connection to her ex-husband, Roger Ruhlin, with whom she had their beloved son.

While she was a friend to many, Stephenie's greatest role was that of a mother. She leaves behind her son, Beau Ruhlin; and two wonderful stepchildren, Aspen and Hallie Ruhlin. She loved the three of them fiercely and often looked back with fondness on the part she played in raising them all.

Her best days were spent in the happy chaos of a full life: cooking weekend breakfast for Beau and his friends while forcing them to listen to 80's hair bands on the CD player, passionately watching her beloved Philadelphia Eagles (through heartbreaking losses and recent triumphant wins), and sharing laughs over volcano bowls with her treasured friends.

Stephenie will be remembered by all who knew her for her sharp sense of humor, her undeniable stubbornness, and, of course, her killer margaritas.

Beau would like to issue a special thank you to all those who faithfully stayed by her bedside from the first day until the very end. Crista, Michelle, the Duff family, and the Young family.
