Corinth, Maine - Stephen Locke Caverly passed to his heavenly home on August 12, 2019. Born May 18, 1935 in Skowhegan, Maine son of Pauline and Irvin C. Caverly.

Joining the Army after high school, he served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired after 27 years with rank as Master Sergeant. He worked as a correction officer at Charleston and prerelease in Bangor for several years before retiring.

Steve is survived by his wife Arlene Caverly; daughter Melissa and husband Noel; and granddaughter Erica Topping all of Corinth, Maine; also brothers Irvin (Buzz) Caverly of Corinth and Timothy Carverly of Millinocket, Maine; nieces Cathy Caverly of Bradford and Tammy Foss of Lagrange, Maine; also many great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Janice Caverly.

Steve was a hard working man with a kind heart and will be missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Corinthian Cemetery in Corinth on Tuesday, August 20th at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements by Thompson Funeral Home.
