Shawn D. Baxter
10 years have passed, but today we remember Shawn - not for how his life ended, but for what made it meaningful. Shawn was deeply intelligent, with a natural gift for technology that allowed him to explore his passions and share his knowledge. His curiosity about history, politics, and the world around him never faded, inspiring others to see life with the same openness and wonder. Those closest to him appreciated his quick wit, sense of humor, and genuineness.
Shawn loved his family, friends, and all those dear to him, and he often reminded us that,
"family is everything." He was incredibly loyal, unwaveringly supportive, and always rooting for the people he loved. His gratitude for the people in his life was a source of strengthen, hope, and comfort, for Shawn, which he remain grounded by even on his last day on Earth.
While ten years simultaneously feel like yesterday and a lifetime, Shawn's presence in our lives remains unmistakable. He lives in the stories we tell, the memories we hold close, and the love that continues to guide us. His life reminds us that the love we give and bonds we hold close are what truly last, and that family is at the heart of it all.
We love you and miss you, Shawn. You are always in our hearts, and through that, you are never far from us.
