Ronald F. Smith
Glenburn - Ronald F. Smith, 77, of Glenburn, passed away peacefully at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center on March 21, 2020, after a brief illness. He was born on July 7, 1942, in Catskill, New York to Joseph F. Smith and Lillian M. (Goodrich) Smith.
Ron was a loyal member of VFW Post 1761 in Bangor. He was past State Commander of the VFW in 2014-2015.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Smith and Lillian (Goodrich) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Robert E. Smith and three sisters Helen Smith, Lillian (Smith) Lang, and Edith (Smith) Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Rockwell) Smith of 33 years, his two daughters Tammy and her husband Elvin Thomas of Caribou, Michelle and her husband Richard Lynch of Winterport. Two granddaughters Ashley Thomas of Caribou and Rebecca Lynch of Carmel. One sister Kathleen Durham of Coxsackie, New York.
Interment will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou at a later date.
