Hampden - Roland B. Fogg, 72, entered into eternal rest after a short illness on August 29, 2019.

Throughout his life, Roland was thoughtful and kind. His sense of humor and zest for life was endearing. Roland served his Country in the 101st Air National Guard for 26 years from 1966 - 1991 and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Archon Lodge #75 A.F. & A.M. in East Dixmont, the Anah Shriners, and was involved in the Keystone Kops Unit. Roland served on the Board of Directors for Associated General Contractors of Maine for 2 years.

He cherished the time he spent with family and friends. Roland loved to go to camp and take cruises on the pontoon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, snowmobiling, riding the ATV, going to and watching the Patriots, Red Sox, University of Maine hockey, and Nascar racing. Roland also enjoyed traveling all around the country and overseas.

He always was there to extend a helping hand, whether it was a friend or total stranger. Roland never sweated the "small stuff" and he always said, "it will work itself out". Roland will be greatly missed by all who's lives he touched.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian (Sissy) Fogg; his children, Sean (Lisa) and Kimberly (Tammy Thibodeau); cherished grandfather of Morgan-Lea (Jake Patryn), Brandon (Jaimie Deschaine) and Bailee; son of the late Roland B. and Olive M. (Rowell) Fogg; dear brother of David (Vanessa) and the late Merton Fogg; mother and father-in-law, Carm and the late Robert Hardesty; brother-in-law of Robert (Patricia); Frank (late Linda); Edward (Mary Jo) Hardesty; nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Brookside Cemetery, Chapman Rd., Newburgh with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com

Sissy,
Kathy and I are so sorry for your loss. We can not believe Roland has left us. Roland was a wonderful man and a great friend to both Kathy and me. I will miss his chuckling laugh out on the golf course as the fearsome foursome would be making fools out of themselves and each other, having the times of their lives with great friends, playing a rounds of golf together and the round of hugs at the end when we would say "until the next round". You will be in Kathy and my prayers.

Our condolences to Roland's family. Roland was such a truly nice man. I worked with him for 4 years at Barrett Paving and my wife and I will never forget how helpful he was when we moved to Maine, looking for a place to live in the Bangor area. May God bless his soul.

Dear friend, you have a new mission now, standing at the side of our Lord as his personal guard. I will miss my dear brother in arms more than can be expressed. Do not be concerned old friend, we will all be together someday and stand side by side as we were always meant to. THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT FRIEND TO ME AND ALL!!!

David; I am saddened to learn of Brud passing away. I will never forget the day he gave me a ride in his '69 Roadrunner. He put a $20.00 dollar bill on the dash, and told me if I could touch it when he told me to, I could have it. He didn't wind it up, and dump the clutch; he just got it rolling, and nailed it!! I remember getting pinned in the seat, hearing the exhaust, and smelling the tires burning!!! I could not touch the money, but the Roadrunner became my favorite muscle car that day. After all these years, I still want one. I also remember you and I sledding on the hill, and Brud and Mert towing us back up to the top with their snowmobiles. I have many fond memories of your e...ntire family.Read more
