Hudson, Maine - Robert 'Bob' Sylvia, Sr., 81, the husband of the late Jo-Ann Lee (Martin) Sylvia, died on March 24, 2018, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born on Aug. 11, 1936, in Nantucket, MA, the son of Norman and Alice Sylvia.

Bob worked as a baker for Nissen Bakery in Manchester, NH, after which he attended college to become a United Methodist Church ordained minister. He enjoyed gardening and outdoor sports, especially hunting and fishing.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Jr., Vincent, and Norman; two daughters, Barbara Anne Pehowic and Vicki Sylvia; three grandchildren, Kerry, Holly, and Tommy, and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, with Rev. Bruce Young officiating.
