Millinocket, Maine - Robert G. Oliver, 69, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2025, at his home. Robert was born on December 10, 1955, in Millinocket, the son of Robert W. and Joan (Garland) Oliver.

Robert spent his younger childhood years in Millinocket and later moved to Old Town. He graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1975. After graduating, he returned to Millinocket and started a career welding/pipe fitting at Great Northern Paper. After an injury left him unable to continue to weld, he started tinkering with carpentry and found a new passion. He also went on to get a certificate in computer micro-processing, building his own family computers and was even a little bit of a gamer. In his early years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at camp, listening to music, and coaching his daughters' sports teams. As time went on and his grandchildren became engaged in different activities, he was their number one fan and tried not to miss any of their events.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother, Charles Oliver. He is survived by his daughter, Meredith Bryant and her husband, Travis, and their children, Devinn, Silas, and Keegan; his daughter, Amanda Dicentes and her husband, Sam, and their children, Olivia and Ryan; his siblings, William Oliver, Thomas Oliver, and Dorothy Nadeau; the mother of his children, Susan Tower; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life on November 2, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. The celebration of life will be held at the Millinocket Elks Lodge located at 213 Aroostook Ave., Millinocket, ME.
