Madawaska, Maine - Robert J. Beaulieu, 68, peacefully entered into eternal rest December 24, 2024, following a long, hard year of declining health, surrounded by his loving wife, children and siblings. He was born June 5, 1956, in Madawaska, the oldest son of the late Armand and Rilla (Michaud) Beaulieu and was a graduate of Madawaska High School, class of 1975.

Bob was proficient in many sports. He played baseball and had the best pitch. As a catcher, he was never afraid of how fast the ball was coming towards him. He enjoyed playing hockey and was frequently the goalie. He enjoyed bowling and participated in many leagues statewide as well as in Edmundston. He has the highest pinfall average game at Carter's in Madawaska. His love of sports continued, as he watched every game he could on the tv, laptop and cell phone simultaneously.

Bob joined the Army as an early sign up, served 3 years and followed that with another 3 years in the National Guard. Bob worked at Sampsons/Paradis Shop n Save for 46 years. He also worked multiple part-time jobs to support his family. Bob was a member of the Madawaska American Legion Post 147 and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus #2638 and had been Faithful Navigator, which he both proudly served for numerous years.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Louise (Nadeau) Beaulieu; his three children, Timothy and his friend, Ryan, Christopher and his wife, April, and Elizabeth and her husband, Eric Morse. He also leaves behind his two precious grandchildren, Elliot Oliver and Lucie Ellah Beaulieu; two sisters, Linda with her husband, Ken Pelletier, and their son, Brad; and Theresa Beaulieu with her friend, John, her son, Corey and his wife, Laura and their two daughters, Darcey and Demi; along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

The family of Bob would like to thank the Madawaska Ambulance crew and Northern Maine Medical Center emergency room staff for their compassionate care and love during our short time in their care.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Family will greet friends from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church.
