Madawaska, Maine - Rina R. Collins, 84, passed away on January 9, 2026, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, on May 12, 1941, daughter of the late Rene and Rolande (Lang) Roussel.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Lagasse (Norm Doucette), and Tina Deschaine (Gilles Thibodeau); one son, Arthur Collins Jr.; four grandchildren, Renee Boucher (Jamie Boucher), Thomas Lagasse Jr. (Amy Lagasse), Gabbie Collins, and Hunter Collins; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Dumais, Thomas Lagasse, III, and Daryn Lagasse. Rina was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Collins; and one son, Scott Collins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. There will be no visiting hours or receiving line. Burial will take place at Caribou Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. For online condolences, please visit lajoiefuneralhome.com.
