East Millinocket - Richard John Linehan
August 12, 1944 to July 21, 2019

Richard John Linehan ("Dick") of East Millinocket, Maine passed away on July 21, 2019 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Dick graduated from Brockton High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Yarnell from 1963 to 1965. After an honorable discharge he worked in the pipe fitters union in Boston and then retired from Great Northern Paper Company. He had a passion for pet fish and birds. He enjoyed fishing and cribbage in his spare time.
He was preceded by his older brother Robert, his parents Evelyn (Lundberg) and Everett Linehan of Brockton, Massachusetts. He is survived by his older sister Jane St. Lawrence of Wareham, Massachusetts and his older brother Warren Linehan of Paoli, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by a daughter; Allison Linehan of Orrington, two sons, Paul Linehan and his wife Jeane and granddaughter Paige, of Hermon, and Kevin Linehan of Saco. He also has several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside memorial service will be held later this year at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine. The family requests donations to be made to their own favorite charity in his name.
