TOPSHAM - Richard H. Dow, 61, of Mallett Drive, died peacefully March 3, 2008, at home. Richard was born Aug. 2, 1946, in Jamaica Plain, Mass., the son of the late Frank and Shirley Dow, and was raised in Carmel. He graduated from Hermon High School in 1964. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a senior chief in 1988. He worked for the past 19 years at TMA/L3 Communications, Bath, in support of Supship. Richard enjoyed his work, time with family, vacationing at Sebago Lake and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed attending local stock car races throughout Maine and New England, with his brother-in-law, George Hillman of Bowdoin. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Dow of Topsham; his daughter, Kelly Fike and her husband, Rory, of Brunswick; his son, Randy Dow and his wife, Amy, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and grandsons, Colby and Bailey Fike of Brunswick, and Alex Dow of West Palm Beach, Fla. The family thanks the staff of CHANS/Hospice for their care and support throughout the past few months.
