SEARSPORT - SEARSPORT - Reginald T. Curtis Sr., 73, died unexpectedly April 8, 2010, at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1936, in Stockton Springs, the son of Thornton and Evelyn (Shannon) Curtis. He graduated from Searsport High School and was a lifetime resident of Searsport. He was a member of the National Guard and was a past master of Mariner's Lodge No. 68 AF & AM, Searsport, and Waldo Chapter No. 7, Royal Arch Masons, Belfast. He worked as superintendent of the transfer station in Searsport. In his earlier years, he was general foreman for Corenco Co., Sandy Point, and delivered gas for Gould and Son. Reggie enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and lobstering with his family. He especially enjoyed family get-togethers and playing Santa for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom he was known lovingly as Ho Ho. He is survived by his loving wife and partner for 53 years, Ann (Marriner) Curtis of Searsport; son, Reginald Curtis Jr. of Stockton Springs; daughters, Joanne and husband, Dale Hutchinson, of Stockton Springs and Regina and husband, Raymond Seamans, of Prospect; grandchildren, Danielle and husband, Mark Ashey, Patrick and wife, Patty Curtis, Ashley Curtis and her friend, James, Kelli Curtis and her friend, Renee, Jessica and husband, Jeff Bryant, Adam Clark and his friend, Kelli, and Brad Swift; special young outdoorsman, Derrik Kenney; great-grandchildren, Aiden Pike, Sullivan Bryant, Nathan Ashey, Summer Curtis and Shannon Curtis; sister, Edie and husband, Jim Light, of Bangor; brother, Damon and wife, Linda Curtis, of Grand Lake Stream; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents; one son, Jeffrey Curtis; and two brothers, James Curtis and Thornton Curtis Jr. Visitation for family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. with Masonic service 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Reggie's memory to his great-grandchildren's educational fund, something that he had been saving for, for a long time and was very close to his heart, care of Regina Seamans, P.O.
