Glenburn, Maine - Raymond Roger Cyr left Planet Earth on November 16, 2025, after 71 trips around the sun, the last few years, suffering from bad health, but enduring with grace and dignity, always with a smile on his face. Ray was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on September 17, 1954.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, Theresa and Andre; and stepdaughter, Gretchen. Ray is survived by his beloved partner and best friend, Jo Ann Fisher of Glenburn, ME, and her children - Carl, Ian and Ross and their spouses, children and grandchildren; his sister, Rachel in Winston-Salem, NC; his brother, Artie and partner, Deb, in Biddeford, ME; his brother, Steven in Jupiter, FL; his former wife, Mariette; and his daughter, Musette Cyr.

He will be missed and remembered by his family and many fans and friends. Ray grew up and spent most of his life in Biddeford, ME, graduating from Biddeford High School and studying Industrial Arts at the University of Southern Maine. He spent his last years at Jo Ann's cabin on Pushaw Lake in Glenburn, ME. Ray was an accomplished musician, specializing in blues guitar and vocals but he could play most any instrument and sing any song. He collected guitars. He fixed guitars. He played guitars. He loved guitars. Ray was also a chef, mechanic, guitar repairman, music store manager, building maintenance man and volunteer fireman. Ray loved being outdoors, especially fishing, boating and grilling. He also loved watching football, he was a lifelong Patriots fan and later in life, a Clemson Tigers fan.

Ray was deeply spiritual throughout his life, seeking his own truth along the way, always thankful for his many blessings and always imparting his wisdom to anyone who asked.

From musicians just learning their craft to boys learning how to be men, Ray was an inspirational role model and mentor to many young dudes. Ray will be loved and never forgotten by those he touched on Earth as he now makes his long-awaited journey across the Universe.
