Houlton - Raymond E. Crone, 92, Houlton, went to be with his Lord and Savior February 3, 2020, peacefully at his home. He was born June 5, 1927, the son of Gilbert and Gertrude (Brewer) Crone.
Ray was a member of Military Street Baptist Church for 66 years which was a true Testament to the importance of his faith. He was active in Bible study and taught Sunday school for many years. He was co-owner and operator of Crone apartments with his wife, Ruth. He was a devout husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Ray is survived by his son, Richard Crone and his wife, Robin, of Houlton; daughter, Laura Crone Fitzgerald and her husband, Darrell, of Arkansas; grandchildren, Dustin and fiancé, Lyndsay Place, Brandon and his girlfriend, Kassandra Reed, Courtney and her husband, Patrick, Alex and his wife, Bethany, Kyle and his wife, Cyndi; five great-grandchildren, Jacey and Gracelynn Crone, Ashlyn Fitzgerald, Waylon and Avreigh Griffin; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth Crone; and two brothers, Percy and Perley Crone.
Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. with funeral services being held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Houlton Military Street Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Burns officiating. Spring interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

What a character Mr. Crone was! I used to wait on him Back when Governor's was in Houlton and he never missed a chance to try an fool me with money somehow. Once I learned his personality I grew to expect it from him every visit. He and his wife were great customers. Prays to the family.
