Hermon, Maine - Randy Gene Guerrette, son of Carl and Marion Guerrette of Presque Isle, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2026.

Randy was born in Presque Isle, a graduate of Presque Isle High School class of 1976. Randy married his love Jill in 1980, shortly after moved to Bangor, and a few years later settled in Hermon.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Jill; daughter, Liza Phair and her husband, Matt, of Hermon; daughter, Lindsey Griffiths and her husband, Ryan, of Gorham; and daughter, Heidi Guerrette and her partner, Chris Ryan, of Newburgh. He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Dylan and Brielle Phair, Grayson and Callyn Griffiths, and Cohen Ryan. Randy also leaves behind brother, Rick Guerrette and wife, Sandy; sister, Debbie McCartney and husband, Blair; sister, Tammie Fletcher and husband, Steven; sister-in-law, Joni Buck and her husband, Jason; brother-in-law, Brian Carmichael and his wife, Kathy; special relatives, Keith Forbes and family, and Tom Whited and family; special friend, Dave Packard; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his special sidekick, his golden retriever, Sadie.

Randy's work ethic was second to none, he led by example and took pride in everything he did, earning the respect of everyone he worked with. He was a devoted fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots, rarely missing a game and cheering them on with unwavering loyalty. More than anything, he cherished time with his family and took his role as "papa," father, husband, and brother very seriously. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, taking them on adventures and creating moments they will carry with them forever. He loved to play golf and was rarely beaten at cribbage. Randy had a gift for bringing people together. He enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings and Sunday dinners, cooking for his family was a passion. Papa embodied the very spirit of Christmas, proudly carrying on traditions he learned from his parents, making the season feel magical for family and friends. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and ability to make people laugh.

In lieu of a memorial service, the family will be hosting a celebration of life, honoring Randy's wishes. Date and location will be determined later.
