Longview, Washington - Pearle Marie (Anderson) Potter peacefully passed away in Longview, Washington, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, surrounded by family. She was born in Brainerd, Minnesota, on August 19, 1922.

She married Maurice Wendell (Buck) Potter on January 11, 1941, in Moorhead, Minnesota. Buck Potter served in the Navy during WWII and died in 2008. She is survived by three children and their spouses: Major Larry S. Potter, USAF Retired, and his wife, Éthelle Lord, of Mapleton, Maine, Sharon Giger and her husband, Dan, of Everett, Washington, and Dianne Barnhart and her husband, Greg, of Buckeye, Arizona; several granddaughters and grandsons, great-grandchildren living in Maine, Washington and New Mexico; many nieces and nephews.

Her priority in life was her family and many friends. The Potters raised their family in the states of Washington and Oregon. A granddaughter, Sherri Schellenberger of Phoenix, Arizona, was also raised by them and became the "apple of their eye."

For more than three decades, the Potters enjoyed vacationing in Desert Hot Springs, California, where they were instrumental in founding Almar Acres, a retirement resort and spa community. They helped create a unique community of like-minded folks who enjoy retirement in the sun.

Special thanks to a niece, Sandy King and her husband, Ron, who opened their home and provided her with 24/7 care in Longview, Washington. In addition to her husband, Buck, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Judith Anne Potter, in 1945; her parents, George and Pearl Grace (Rogers) Anderson from Brainerd, Minnesota; one grandson, Bradley Potter, in 2011; and several Anderson and Potter family members over the years.
