Paul J. Morin Obituary

Freeport, Maine - It is, with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paul J. Morin at 67 years old. He passed peacefully at home, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, with his beloved longtime love, Ronnie, and puppy dog, Luna by his side. He was born in Millinocket, Maine, to Elizabeth (Michaud) Morin and the late Donald Morin on July 11, 1958.

Paul graduated from Schenck High School in East Millinocket in 1976. After graduation, he became employed at the Great Northern Paper Company. He later obtained his CDL and worked as a longhaul truck driver. Later, he gained employment, with Crooker in Topsham for fourteen years, and then with Cote's Forestry for approximately 3 years, before becoming ill. Paul enjoyed working on his vehicles and motorcycles and took great pride in them as they were always detailed and shined up beautifully. He enjoyed sitting out in the morning sun on the deck with Ronnie and having his first cup of coffee. Twice a year, he would rent a cabin at Nesowadnehunk Lake and fish for days. He enjoyed making flies in his flytying shop and would use them on his fishing trips as well as give them away to friends and family. One of his greatest catches is mounted and hanging in his shop, proudly displayed. Paul enjoyed meeting up with his family at camp on Madagascal Pond, where he enjoyed sitting around the campfire, using his great sense of humor, and sharing stories with his family and friends.

Paul was predeceased by his father, Donald Morin; brother, Craig; grandparents, Joseph and Cecile Michaud, and Andrew and Leona Morin; as well as many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving life partner, Ronnie Small, who cared for him at their home until his passing. He leaves his mother, Elizabeth Morin; his children, Kristen Bowden, Andrea Pinkham and husband, Joseph, Benjamin Morin, and Gina Rhoda and husband, Shawn; and siblings, Robert Morin and wife, Cheryl, Christopher Morin and wife, Ramona, Ann (Morin) Ravin, Donald Morin and Susan (Morin) Dishon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Grace, Carson, and Ryder Bowden, and Tripp Rhoda; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Jim Wagg, who would always check in on Paul during his illness.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Paul's hospice team, especially Ali Ray, for the loving care and support they provided to him.

Donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Paul's memory.

A Mass of Christian burial will be announced in the spring and will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will be at East Millinocket Cemetery.
