Trescott Township, Maine - Patricia "Patty" Joanne (Ingersoll) Hartman, following a brief illness, passed into the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 25, 2025. She was born August 11, 1949, in Addison to Raymond and Jeannette (Kelley) Ingersoll.

Patty developed a love for Jesus as a young child, which grew deeply over her lifetime. She had a quiet and kind nature and love for children and the elderly. She had natural artistic abilities since childhood, which she continued to study and improve upon throughout her adult life. She also studied photography and took many beautiful photos.

As a young adult, Patty worked as a nanny, at a department store and then spent 30 years in banking. After retiring, she pursued her love for helping the elderly. She graduated from UMM with an Associate of Science Degree in business administration.

Patty and her husband, Fred, operated DownEast Drawings & Wildlife Art. They participated in numerous art shows and competitions and won many awards for their beautiful work. Many of their customers became dear friends. They enjoyed traveling to visit Fred's family, a tour of Montreal and trips to Machias Seal Island for Puffin photos.

They loved and appreciated their church families, their dear neighbors and their friends and supporters in the art community.

Patty was predeceased by her beloved husband of more than 25 years; her parents and brother, Richard Ingersoll. She is survived by her siblings, Nancy Merritt, Beverly Stone, Joyce Smith, and David Ingersoll; along with their spouses and families; special stepdaughter, Jennifer; stepson, Jeff and his wife and family; and several cousins.

A joint memorial service for Patty and Fred will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Machias Valley Baptist Church, 8 Broadway, Machias, Maine. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias, where online condolences may be shared: bragdonkelley.com.
