Columbus, Texas, Texas - Patricia Ann Godfrey, age 84, passed away on November 16, 2022, in Columbus, Texas. She was born on May 18, 1938, in Amherst, Maine, to Martin and Mildred (Treadwell) Fletcher. She married Philip J. Godfrey Jr. on February 2, 1957.

Patricia grew up in Amherst, Maine. After marriage, she worked as a preschool teacher at the Homestead Air Force Base in Florida, where her husband was based. In her free time, she enjoyed communicating with family and friends, crocheting and reading. Her favorite things were camping with family, enjoying her many cats and being a preschool teacher. She will be most remembered for her bright blue eyes, her laugh and great humor.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mildred Fletcher; and husband, Philip Godfrey Jr. Patricia is survived by daughter, Diane Welch and husband, Donald, of Alleyton, TX; sons, Mark Godfrey and wife, Brenda, of Lake City, FL, James Godfrey of North Key Largo, FL, and Philip Godfrey III and wife, Janeen, of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Ronald Nolan, Christie Deorbegoso, Coleby, Elaine Feldman, Alayshia Godfrey, Jayden Godfrey, Gabriel Godfrey and Ayreonna Godfrey; and five great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held in Lake City, Florida, on November 26. Please contact family members for service details.
