Nina Jean Morrison
Portland - Nina Jean Morrison passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 3, 2018 after a long illness. Nina was born on July 26, 1928 in St Francis, the daughter of James and Ellen (Connors) Morrison, the eldest of 6. Nina attended St Francis schools and graduated as a teacher from the Maine Teachers Academy in 1951. She enjoyed life on their working farm - and often referred to herself with pride as a "county girl" or a "moosetowner" Nina is survived by her daughters MaryEllen Jencks, Myra Hopkins and husband Steve Hopkins a granddaughter Amanda Jencks and 2 great grandchildren of whom she was always very proud; sisters Ethel Pare of Dover-Foxcroft and Annie McKenney of Parkman. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Francis Morrison, David John Morrison and sister Mary Johnson. She was a loving care giver and will be missed by all. She will be forever remembered for her kindness and beautiful smile. Graveside service will take place in the spring in St Francis.
