Milford, Maine - Nelson Query, 89, born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 15, 1936, passed away peacefully at home August 18, 2025, surrounded by family.

Nelson prided himself on being a hard worker and his primary employment was at Bangor Mental Health Institute for 37 years. While working there, he also worked simultaneously doing refrigeration for 37 years. He was well known for his infectious smile, his generous spirit, his unwavering kindness and his many old time sayings.

Nelson was predeceased by his wife, Linda; and his close friend and brother-in-law, Sidney Goodman and by his first wife, Catherine. Nelson is survived by and lovingly remembered by his children, Spike and wife, Ellen, Sandy and husband Mark, Randy and Christina; grandchildren, Brittney, Connor, Kiera, Kim, Kyle and Ralph; and great-grandchildren, Alice, Jordan, Kylee, Maddix, Nadya and Tripp. He will also be remembered by a special friend, Marion Taylor; and his beloved dog, Coco.

Nelson will be laid to rest with his wife, Linda in Adrian, Pennsylvania.
