Michael Herbert Moran
Bangor - Michael H. Moran went home to be with our heavenly Father on 11/13/2019. He was born on September 4th, 1955 to loving parents Fred and Frances Moran.
Mike grew up in Machias and was a true "downeastah". He enjoyed being by the ocean, lobster, and a fresh slice of blueberry pie. He loved taking road trips to the lake or ocean to kayak and enjoy the beach.
Mike's favorite bible verse was "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24) He truly lived this verse through his devotion to his family. While there is no way to fully capture Mike's spirit in a few paragraphs he made such a huge impact on all those he met. He was one of the most kindhearted people whose generosity, empathy, and compassion was unmatched. As a dedicated Husband, Father, and Grampie he would do absolutely anything to see his loved ones smile. He brought joy and laughter everywhere he went and regularly said "you have to take the bitter with the sweet". He was known for having unlimited energy and has been a devoted employee of Dorsey Furniture for many years. Mike also adored animals. He always doted on his Jack Russell Skipper and Maine Coon Cat Ricky.
Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years Jeannine Moran; sister Bonnie Moran; sister Cathy Parsons and husband Steve; son Isaac Moran and wife Tammy; son Micah Moran; daughter Kristen Davis and husband Benjamin; grandchildren Ariyana Moran and Ethan Moran; and many other cherished family members.
A celebration of life service will be held at Jeff's Catering in Brewer on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 at 6pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bangor Humane Society.

I only heard of Mike's passing today and am so shocked and saddened. He was my go to person at Deorseys and always so helpful and nice. Did not really know him well outside of sales, but what I knew, I really liked. So sorry for your family's loss. He definitely will be missed. Prayers for him and his family!!

So very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We were neighbors growing up in Marshfield and kept in touch when we stopped by Dorsey's for furniture purchases. Mike loved catching me up on his wonderful family and how things were going. He was certainly a very special man. My deepest sympathies to his wonderful family.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mike from us in this life but happy for his now eternal joy with his Savior; prayers of comfort to all his family. I think that my first acquaintance with him was probably around 1974 when I worked with his dad, Freddy, at the A & P Store in Machias. I always enjoyed talking with Mike; he had a great, caring personality. His strong faith was a center of our talk for many of those years. His legacy will live on through his family and friends.

My wife and I bought several pieces of furniture from Mike and it was always a chance for us to reminisce. And yes there was the driving glove! He and I kinda raced One morning before school, it was out on (then the Alfred Porter stretch) in East Machias, Mike in his Mustang fastback and me in my 1969 Camaro. We talked about that day every time we met. I am shocked this morning to read of Mike’s passing. Condolences to his family.
