Old Town, Maine - Mike passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born on August 27, 1953, to Rene and Louise Johndro.

He enjoyed the outdoors and farm life where he had several horses and other farm animals. As a young child, Mike was naturally artistic and enjoyed drawing, especially drawing horses. He collected lots of memorabilia of his two heroes, John Wayne and Elvis. He moved from Caribou to Old Town in February 2000, where he met and married the love of his life, Beryl Bartlett. For the next 16 years they were very happily married until her passing in 2021.

Mike was predeceased by his parents; his wife; and sister, Donna. He is survived by his four sisters, Bev Cheplic of Ft. Launderdale, FL, Tammy Fackler and husband, Curt, of Spokane, WA, Jolene St. Jean and husband, James, of Caribou, ME, and Jill Damboise and husband, Mike, of Terryville, CT; one brother, Roderick Johndro and wife, Ellen, of Milford; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, John and Robert Bartlett; nine stepchildren; and two best friends, Galen and Jimmy Doody of Caribou.

In the 26 years that Mike resided at Penobscot Terraces, he was always eager to help anyone in the building and was kind and generous to all.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 16, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Parish in Old Town. A luncheon will be provided in the Parish Hall immediately following the service.
