Bucksport - Michael Cass, formerly of Caribou, passed away on February 25, 2019, after a brief illness.
He was born March 22, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of William Cass Jr. and Della (Theriault) Beaulieu.
Mike was a good and kind person. He loved his wife, Hanh, very much and they were a happy family together. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his garage shop where he used his carpentry skills to build furniture and design a complete home renovation and improvements. He liked family get-togethers and the happy times he shared.
Six times, Mike visited Vietnam. During one of those trips, he married his wife, Hanh. She came back with him to create a home together in Bucksport, ME.
Mike is survived by his wife, Hanh (Pham) Cass of Bucksport; their son Ho Phuoc Vu of Tay Ninh, Vietnam; mother Della Beaulieu of Caribou; sisters Deborah Cass-Camacho of Lowell, MA; Cynthia Cass of Detroit, MI; Lisa Cass-Lantz of Waverly, NY; Jennifer Beaulieu of Bowie, MD; a special cousin and dear friend, Darla Wambold of Caribou and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, William Cass Jr.
In addition to family, Mike has wonderful friends, neighbors and coworkers who were present and helped his family during the difficult time of his illness. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by Hahn and their long-time friends, Lance & Martha Weddell, Tinh Thai and Dani Thai, Nancy and Mr. Han; Arty Burack and his wife Hue Nguyen; and his fellow coworkers at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor, ME.
Visiting hours will be held at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street Caribou, Saturday, March 9 2019 from 5-7 PM. A memorial service will follow on Sunday, March 10 2019 at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com

Our entire family offers our sincere condolences to you, My Hanh, and your family . Michael always took such wonderfully kind care of my wife, Alma, until she passed last December. He indeed was a treasure! Bless him for his kindness.

We thank you again for all that you and Michael did to try to have our standwithme.org standers produced in Vietnam to help children stand. Your efforts took so much time. When we finally succeed in that pursuit, it will be because you and Mike sewed the gracious seed!

We are certain Michael is with God in Heaven. We know he is at peace. Blessings.

I am shocked and so saddened to see this obituary! Mike was so, so special to us when my dad, Joe Violette, was in the Maine Veteran's Home. Mike started working there at the same time my dad was admitted, and he took care of him for 6 years! He was such a good caregiver (and my dad was not always the easiest patient!) and when Mike was on duty, our minds were at ease. He called him Uncle Joe and would talk to him about business matters which my dad enjoyed. He always kept us updated on the very long wait to get his wife here and we were so happy for him when it was finally time! When my dad passed, he and another special CNA, were present him to the waiting hearse. He was what you wan...t in a CNA. I'm so sorry and my mother will be so saddened. Praying for comfort for your family.Read more

I’m very sorry for the loss of your love one. May you find comfort in this time of great need. The best source of strength and love that I found whenever I'm dealing with the greatest “enemy, death” is God. He guarantees us that our dead love ones “will live.... and rise up”. May you also find comfort in these words. - 1 Corinthians 15:26; Isaiah 26:19. JW.org

Mike you are so very loved. You were family to all of us home away from home. You will be remembered as one of the kindest, most dedicated, caring person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You were an amazing friend not only to your co workers but also to your residents. You are greatly missed and I hope you are still teaching all of your home renovation skills to your family in heaven. Rest peacefully Mike.
