Dexter, Maine - Melvin passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on August 25, 2026.

Son of Lester and Mildred Wyman, he is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Cory and wife, Darla; daughter, Sarah; daughter, Claire and husband, Stephen; and son, Nathan and wife, Kimberly. He was a proud grandfather to Ethyn, Stephen, Ethan, Addyson, Coleman, and soon-to-be granddaughter, Melina.

Those who knew Melvin will remember his humor, determination, generosity, ability to fix almost anything, and knack for bringing people together. Above all, he is remembered for the fierce love he had for his family and friends.

Melvin will be deeply missed and forever loved. Please join our family for a graveside service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 4, and a celebration of life immediately following at Melvin's residence. Bring your favorite memories and a snack to share.
