Bangor, Maine - On Friday, June 12, 2026, Maxine Lula (Leary) Lane passed away at the age of 86 with her four children, their spouses and granddaughter, Kristi Hill, by her side. Maxine was born on June 3, 1940, in Veazie and graduated from Bangor High School. Maxine married Peter J. Lane Sr. on November 10, 1961, who passed May 12, 1994. Together they raised their four children in Lincoln and Bangor. Maxine worked several places in her lifetime, including Lincoln Newberry's but was most proud of working at Brewer Marden's until she was 72 and being recognized as the original "Marden's Lady."

She is survived by her children, Peter Lane Jr. and Beth of Connecticut, Jeff Lane and Dale Lee of Glenburn, Karen Furrow and Addison of Lincoln, Heidi Hartin and Mark of Crystal; and granddaughter, Kristi Hill of Glenburn.
