Maureen  Belanger


Eagle Lake - Maureen Belanger, 98, passed away on March 22, 2019 at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born on April 13, 1920, daughter of the late Elie and Delia (Saucier) Gagnon.
Maureen will always be remembered for her famous rolls, which people from all over would come to the house to enjoy. Maureen was always proud of the fact that she continued in her education, obtaining her GED later in life. After her husband Eddie's retirement, Maureen and Eddie traveled together to Hawaii, Canada, and even ending up in Disney World in Florida.
Maureen is survived by her three children, Clayton Belanger of Van Buren, Carol Belanger of West Baldwin, and Mark Belanger and his wife Robin of Chazy, NY; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eddie Belanger; one son Ronnie Belanger; and eight siblings.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maureen's memory may be made to the Crosswind's activity fund, 480 Ridgeview Avenue, Madawaska, ME 04756. For online condolences please visit,

Clayton & family, so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. She was a special lady and her & your Dad were very close friends of my parents .I have lots of great memories of your house at the lake when we were young . Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Maureen never failed to put a smile on my face! She was the light in crosswinds and we all know her for her special song "Gray Mar". I will forever miss her! It was a pleasure working with you Maureen! Rest easy my dear!
