Mary L Pierce

Brewer - Mary L. Pierce passed away at home in Brewer Maine February 25, 2019 from her final battle with cancer. Mary was born March 22, 1933 her parents were Harold and Rena Harriman.
Family and friends were of great importance to her always. Her comedy and constant humor will stay with us forever. Mary taught her grandchildren and great grandchildren many things in her day. She was a woman of many trades especially cooking, she owned a pizza shop on Center Street in Bangor. Cooking was a passion for her and she showed many of us, playing cards was right behind that, Skip-Bo especially. The days at Chemo will forever be in our hearts.
Mary lasted as long as she could. After losing a minor son many many years ago, then Danny Lee Henderson September 8, 1991 and recently her last son Dale Henderson February 22, 2018 and surviving around thirty surgeries she was at peace and ready to be with her boys.
We will miss you until forever Nana. Thank you for the difference you made in our lives, love you; Amy, David, Christian and Taylor LaCouture, Heidi, Ben, Dylan and Lyric Henderson, Holly Henderson Faiella and Deric Faiella, Santa Troncoso and her entire family, Tonya and Jeffrey Pierce, Brenda, Kyle and Deric, Nancy, Dickie and Toot, Connie, Royce Bowden and Phyllis.
A meeting to celebrate Mary's life will take place and a notice will be posted in a few months.

Heidi Holly and Amy I am so very so sorry to hear that Mary has died. I sent her a fb friend request a while back but didn’t hear from her. From her obituary It seems she has been sick for a while. I hope you are all well and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Please tell your mother I said Hi. I do not hardly have a childhood memory that doesn’t have Mary in it. She was a very important part of my life and I will miss her dearly. If you want to look me up I am on fb as Lisa Elaine “Galen” Tucker.

It was a sad day when I heard this news. I called her "Kinny" ; she called me "Con". Kinny was a name I think only some of her Canadian cousins called her. I loved her phone calls and we shared many in our golden years. In earlier times we enjoyed the family visits back and forth from N.B. to Maine. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was obvious in all of our conversations with me. "Kinny" displayed great courage in the face of her many health crises and the loss of her children. Her strength and compassion were obvious in caring for her Mom and my "Aunt Rena" as well as the kindness she exhibited towards her friends and relatives who were ill or facing d...ifficult times. I shall never forget the sound of her voice as we terminated our conversations "Good-night, Con - I love you", "Good-night, Kin, I love you too".Read more
