Hermon, Maine - Mary Lou (Crandon) Dawes passed away peacefully in Hermon, Maine, on February 19, 2026. Mary was born on July 10, 1956, to Joseph and Alice (Strout) Crandon of Addison, Maine.

She is survived by her children, William Dawes and partner, Carrie Pinkham, Kiki Bean and partner, Craig Burns, James Moore and partner, Heather Simmons, and Marcy Dawes; grandchildren, Matthew Dawes, Nicholas Bean, Cassandra Latapie, Violet Brown, and Logan Dawes; great-grandchild, Kaeden Burk; her sister, Lona Farren and husband, Elmer; stepsiblings, Timothy Merchant and wife, Tarra, Forrest Merchant, Nola Perry, Anthony Merchant; Arthur Dawes whom was a big part of her life for many years; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Alice Crandon; stepmother, Patricia Crandon; her sister, Alice (Elaine); and her brother, Joe (Riley).

Per Mary's wishes, there will be no services. Any condolences may be sent to the family.
