Martin B. Bordwick Jr. Obituary

Monson, Maine - Martin B. Bordwick Jr., 91, passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2026, with his wife by his side, Carolyn (Shepard). He was the love of her life. Our life together was full of love and happiness.

He was born in New Haven, NJ. He graduated from Fairhaven High School. He owned Marty's Marine and a Caterpillar dealer in Fairhaven, MA, for 30 years until his retirement. We moved to Maine in 2000. He was a very active golfer for many years. He was at Hibbard Nursing Home when he passed. He had Alzheimer's.

He has a brother, David and wife, Elaine, of Florida; two sons, Gregory and wife, Lynn, of Matt., and Peter and wife Rhonda of Cannon, ME; two daughters, Heidi and husband, Christopher, and Holly Perrone, both of Fairhaven, MA; and ten grandchildren and eight great-greatchildren. He has two stepchildren, Tammy and husband, Patrick, of NC, and David and wife, Lori, of Dartmouth, MA; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin Sr. and Agatha; and his sister, Peggy Lobo. His children and wife will miss him very much.

The CNAs and nurses were so caring and loved him, especially with that smile of his he gave them. I like to thank them all for their care you gave him.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Marty's memory to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011. There will be a celebration of Marty's life for family and friends at a later time.
