Marshall (Burpee) Ordway Obituary

Morrill, Maine - Marshall "Chuck" Burpee Ordway, 72, of Bucksport and Morrill, passed after a brief illness on May 3, 2026, at his home in Morrill with his partner, Louise, and his dog, Waldo, at his side.

He grew up in Bucksport but his adventurous spirit took him on many moves all over from Texas to North Carolina. He was always ready for a ride on his Harley or on his snowmobile. Chuck loved to build old trucks and spent many hours in the garage. He was known as one of the best mechanics around and was always helping others fix something.

He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Dawn Burpee; and two of his former wives, Carol Barney and Belinda Ordway. He is survived by his partner of 16 years, Louise Tucker of Morrill; and two sons, Jeffrey Barney of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Nathan Ordway and his wife, Angela, and their three children, Jayden, Michael, and Eryn of Carmel. He is also survived by his brother, Boyd Burpee and wife, Sue, of Eddington; his sister, Denise Johnson of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on June 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Orland Methodist Church community room.
