Passadumkeag, Maine - Mark L. Parker Sr., 92, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born in Caribou on June 18, 1933.
Mark grew up in Passadumkeag and went on to serve his country in the Army. During his time in Korea, he was wounded and received a purple heart. After being honorably discharged, he came home and went to work for James River Mill in Old Town and was part of the "Dam Crew," a position he enjoyed until his retirement. Mark was an avid deer hunter and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed splitting his own firewood until recently, gardening, walking, riding his bike and of course, being on the lookout for cans and bottles.
Mark is survived by his wife, Roberta; sons, Mark Jr. and his partner, Michelle, and Morgan and his wife, Marianne; grandchildren, Ashley and Opie, Shilow, Shain and Sean; and sister-in-law, Arlene Parker. He was predeceased by his mother, Marsha; son, Maurice; brothers, Willard Parker and Bruce Parker; his first wife, Dallas.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on May 22, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery.
