Addison, Maine - Marina Evelyn (Alley) Tyler, 83, passed away May 11, 2021, at Narraguagus Bay Healthcare in Milbridge. She was born June 23, 1937, in Machias, to her parents, Milton and Arlie (Beal) Alley.

She grew up in South Addison, Maine, and graduated from Addison High School, class of 1954, and was a 1956 graduate of Husson College in Bangor, with a business degree. She worked for Bangor Hydro in Harrington and Machias until 1959. She married Harold Tyler Jr. on June 7, 1959, and had two children; a son, Evans, and a daughter, Elise.

Marina and her husband, Harold, started their own business in 1975, Tyler's Marine Sales & Service. She worked there for 35 years as secretary. She was the organist for the Union Church of South Addison for 28 years, and assistant organist for the Community of Christ in South Addison for many years. As a young girl, she was a girl scout and a member of the Community of Christ Church. She loved to help with church fairs, and suppers. She loved to play the piano, at church and at home. She loved to cook and sew. She loved her family very much, and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved her church family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold; a son, Evans Tyler and his wife, Audrey; a daughter, Elise Tyler, all of Addison; grandsons, Jason and wife, Holly, of Addison, Jeremy and wife, Kimberly, of East Machias; great-grandsons, Kayden and Grayson Tyler of Addison, and Colton and Wyatt Tyler of East Machias; a sister-in-law, Clara (Tyler) Donovan of Jonesport; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her family, as well as her church family. She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Arlie (Beal) Alley; 2 sisters-in-law, Letitia (Tyler) Tibbetts; and Marjorie (Tyler) Worester; many aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses that took care of her over the years, including her daughter-in-law, Audrey Tyler. In her last days, we would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and Sara Joy, for the wonderful care they provided.

Visiting hours will be held from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. on Friday, May 14, at the Union Church in South Addison, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. the following day, Saturday, May 15, with Elder Gail Bucknam and Elder Chris Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Mailey Hill Cemetery, Columbia. All attendees are requested to follow Covid guidelines.
