Presque Isle, Maine - Marilyn M. Lennon, 89, wife of the late Reuben R. Lennon, passed away Sunday morning, July 5, 2026, at the Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle, following an extended illness. She was born August 31, 1936, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Brayson) Shaw.

Marilyn was a graduate of the Presque Isle High School, class of 1954, and was married to Reuben R. Lennon on March 8, 1956. Marilyn enjoyed flower gardening, collecting bird houses, quilting, bingo and rides around Presque Isle on her red scooter with her sister, Marcelyn. She cherished time spent with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Reuben, on April 15, 2012; one son, Bryan Lennon Sr.; one daughter, Belinda M. Black; one brother, Fredrick Shaw; one sister, Marlene Sprague. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen S. and Susan Lennon of Waterville; one daughter, Debra L. Lennon of Fairfield; one sister, Marcelyn Carter of Presque Isle; seven grandchildren and spouses, Kailee Casey of Bangor, Miranda and Dustin Hanscom of Lincoln, Bryan Jr. and Autumn Lennon of Caribou, Danyell and Dennis Taylor of Levant, Andrew and Sarah Black of Mechanic Falls, Matthew Black of Japan, and Christopher Black of Mechanic Falls; a special cousin and friend, Susan Young and her companion, Art Day, of Presque Isle; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou with the Rev. Ellen Cleaves officiating.
