Harbor Springs, MI, Maine - Marie Lorraine Dickinson was called home to the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2025, in Harbor Springs, Michigan, and went to be with Christ. She was 86 years old. She was born on March 29, 1939, the daughter of Alyre and Catherine Pelletier of Fort Kent, Maine.

Throughout her life she enjoyed caring for children. In her late teens she worked at a nursery in the Fort Kent Hospital. Soon afterwards she devoted her life to raising her own children as well as many others in the neighborhood. She greatly enjoyed being a homemaker. Marie walked through life with a gentle strength, touching many lives with an unforgettable grace.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, Linwood Cecil Dickinson, on November 15, 2020, after 59 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Ronald Pelletier, Doris Bard (Caribou, Maine), Lewellyn Pelletier, Norman Pelletier, Clarence Pelletier, Edmay Michaud, Lucienne Dufour, Theresa Pelletier, and Harold Pelletier. Marie is survived by siblings, James Pelletier (Yarmouth, Maine), Alyre Pelletier, Jr. (Laconia, New Hampshire), Beatrice Bourgoine (Fort Kent, Maine), Gilman Pelletier (Fort Kent, Maine), and Rena Mae Bard (New Brunswick, Canada). Lovingly remembered by her six children, Philip Dickinson (Alanson, Michigan), Larry Dickinson (Flatwoods, Kentucky), Mary Ann Barkley (Casa Grande, Arizona), Donald Dickinson (Massena, New York), Susan Winchell (Delta Junction, Alaska), and Cecil "Will" Dickinson (Petoskey, Michigan). She has 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Friends and relatives are invited to call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Presque Isle, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will take place following the Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Main Street, Presque Isle.
