Bridgewater - Margaret I. Tilley, 83, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at her daughter's home in Milo. She was born August 23, 1935, in Glassville, N.B., Canada, the daughter of James and Edna (McBrine) Petrie.
She worked many years as a cook at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. Margaret enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Tilley of California, Donald Tilley and his wife, Kristie, of Mars Hill, Timothy Tilley and his wife, Cathie, of Troy, Missouri; two daughters, Cynthia Sezluqa and her husband, Ralph, of Florida, Tammy Keller and her husband, Jerry, of Milo; two brothers, James Petrie of Manibota, Canada, and Ralph Petrie and his wife, Eva, of Idaho; grandchildren, Ryan Mahaney, Chad, Cody, Sean, and Shannon Tilley, and Wyatt Keller; stepgrandchildren, Ashley Akers, Tonya Alexander, Sarah Alexander Qualey, and Cody Alexander; and great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lydia, Pasley, Waylon Qualey, Miles Mahaney, and Addilynn Alexander, Caleb, Kyla, Cash Tilley, Presley Clark, Ledgic and Lathan Frye. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Tilley, in 2004; a brother, William Edgell; and a sister, Nada Richard.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main Street, Mars Hill, with the Reverands Kevin Kinsey and Mark Carter officiating. Spring interment will be at Smith Cemetery, Bridgewater. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 66 Lower Main Street, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742.
