M. Anne Spinney


Sanford - November 26, 1933 - January 30, 2018
M. Anne Spinney, 84, passed away January 30, 2018 peacefully in her sleep as she dreamt of angels. She was born November 26, 1933, Bangor, to parents Willis C. Tozier and M. Louise (Raynes) Tozier. Attending Bangor schools, she graduated from Bangor High School in 1951. She worked as a bookkeeper for Gorham and Co., Pratt and Lambert Paint from high school to the early 70's. She was then employed by Standard Electric Co., presently Wesco for approximately 30 years working her way to Personal Assistant to boss and friend Richard Stone, ending her career at age 75.
In 1952 she married the father of her children, Norman C. Fletcher predeceased.
Anne was a member of Tuesday Forum, The Investment Club, and The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband Earl F. Spinney Sr. she is predeceased by her parents, one sister Phyllis Collins, Carmel; two brothers Willis Tozier and Gilbert Tozier, Bangor.
She is survived by her children Sherry Baer, Orange City, FL; Lori Gerulis, Bradley; Bruce Fletcher, Ellenton, FL; two sisters Elnora Doucette, Elkton, MD; Joyce Tozier, Bangor; four brothers Arthur Tozier, CA; Charles Tozier, Milford; Gordon Tozier, Chicago, IL; David Tozier, Greenville.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda Bell; Jasmine Fletcher; Jacob Fletcher; Samantha Sauer; Shane Sauer; three great grandchildren Benjamin Sauer; Lorna (Bell) Libby; Paisley (Bell) Libby whom all lovingly called her "Mimi".
A celebration of her life will be held graveside; Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date. Details will be announced.
