Lynn E. Bither
Lynn was born in Lincoln, ME, daughter of loving parents John L. and Doris (Harris) Bither. She was educated primarily in local schools in the Houlton area, but graduated from Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro in 1974.
She retired from teaching at the Bouchea Center of Learning, where she spent many dedicated years and formed strong friendships with her adult students and staff.
In 2003, as a nontraditional student working full time at the Bouchea Center and mother of two, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maine at Augusta with a BA in Mental Health and Human Services.
She dearly loved her family and friends, as well as her golden retrievers, flower gardens, art, decorating her home, and playing her piano.
In addition to her loving husband, Al Farrington, Lynn is survived her two sons, Ryan Fields, of Swanville, and Barry McCarthy, of Columbia; a brother, Stephen Bither, formerly of Linnius but now residing in Pennsylvania; granddaughter Kaiya; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John L. and Doris M. Bither.
Relatives and friends are invited to stop in to her home at 78 Fisher Road, Monroe, on Sunday, May 26, from 1:00 - 3:00 for an afternoon of fellowship and celebration of her life.
