Hermon, Maine - Lois M. Green of Island Falls, Maine, peacefully passed from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 5, 2026. Born on December 27, 1940, in Patten, Maine, Lois was the daughter of Wesley and Iola Giles.

She lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and service to others. During her final months, Lois resided with her daughter, Christina Greener; and son-in-law, Stuart, in Hermon, Maine, where she was lovingly cared for by her family. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gaylon L. Green. She is survived by her five children, Julie Jordan and her husband, Daniel, of Oakland, Maryland, Cary Green and his significant other, Keely Ritchie, of Island Falls, Maine, Timothy Green and his fiancée, Krystal Caron, of Houlton, Maine, Kevin Green and his wife, Beth, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, and Christina Greener and her husband, Stuart, of Hermon, Maine. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Kay Rideout of Patten, Maine, Janice Greely of Cleveland, Tennessee, Brenda Raymond of Patten, Maine, Phyllis Chambers of Crystal, Maine, and Guy Giles and his wife, Nikki, of Millinocket, Maine.

Lois was a lifelong member of Patten Pentecostal Church in Patten, Maine, where she and her husband, Gaylon, faithfully raised their family in the Christian faith. Throughout the years, she served her church in many capacities, including leading worship, teaching Sunday school, participating in nursing home ministry, assisting with Vacation Bible School, and supporting numerous other church activities. Her steadfast faith and servant's heart touched countless lives. For more than 20 years, Lois worked as a nurse technician at Resthaven Nursing Home, where she compassionately cared for residents and formed many lasting friendships. Lois's greatest joy was her family. She especially cherished time spent at the family camp on Mattawamkeag Lake, where generations of family and friends gathered to create treasured memories together. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, deep love for her family, caring spirit, and the many ways she served both her church and community throughout her life.

A celebration of life will be held at Patten Pentecostal Church in Patten, Maine, on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Friends and family will be received beginning at 3 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 4 p.m. officiated by her son, Kevin Green. A dinner hosted by the church will immediately follow the service. While her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in the assurance of her eternal home with the Lord and in the legacy of faith, love, and kindness she leaves behind.
